It might be a bit confusing to plan a trip to Turkey if this is your first time in country. The questions might run into your mind as ‘how long I should stay’, ‘which places to visit’, ‘what to expect and bring’

Here I write you some tips to have an idea about Turkey which can ease your travel plans. You can see more tips from other posts as well.

First of all I want to start with ‘why you should visit Turkey’

Turkey is like a bridge between East and West, mingling many cultures from the civilizations dwelt on its territory for thousands of years.  The first signs of human settlement go back more than 25,000 years in here.

Turkey offers rich culture, great cuisine, and beautiful nature to visitors. Moreover it is good value for money. As developing country and still using its own money currency (Turkish lira), Turkey is one of the most reasonable countries to visit around this geography.

Not surprisingly, according to world tourism rankings, Turkey became 6th most visited destination in the world with its 48 million visitors in 2018.

Every day many visitors travel from around the globe to see iconic attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, to taste one of the three great cuisines in the world and to witness the beauty of various cultures living together.

People are super friendly, and also we have warm tea!

Come to meet us!

Turkey is one of the luckiest countries which have all 4 seasons. As the country has a large landmass, this also gives a chance to enjoy variety of climates…

While coastal areas have mild winters and warm summers, inland of Turkey is dryer with less rain fall.

However, weather conditions don’t really stop us to travel or organize tours in any season. 🙂

April is very popular month for Turkey holiday as Tulip festival takes place in Istanbul.

Ottoman Empire used to be the motherland of tulips, before Holland. Hundreds of tulips bloom with many different colors, decorating gardens and parks of the city. Over the past few years, a tulip carpet was made with 545,000 live tulips in old city area for traditional Istanbul Tulip Festival.

March, May, September, October, November are also popular as the weather gets milder.

If you like to have some beachy vibes, then June, July, August would be good months to come. You can combine cultural tours and beach holiday together.

Winter thoughts?

Even though 98% of the population of Turkey is Muslims, we do celebrate New Years Eve in Turkey. Celebration fireworks are organized on Bosphorus Bridge and along the strait every year. City is cheered up with many street parties and concerts.

Whenever you plan to visit, there is always something new to discover in Turkey. Like the author says ‘Each moment of the year has its own beauty.”

Join us to witness the beauty of it…

Most people cannot decide how long they should spend in Turkey. Since the country is quite big, (6 times bigger than Greece, 2,5 times bigger than Italy) it has many destinations to visit, diverse activities to experience. Istanbul is the most visited and most popular city in the country. Second most popular destination would be Cappadocia followed by Ephesus and Pamukkale if you plan to have a culture&nature trip.

Of course, when you travel to another country, you want to make sure that you don’t miss out the main attractions. Big cosmopolitan developed cities, ruins of ancient empires, remaining of Ottoman history on one hand; crystal clear waters, inactive volcanic mountains and small traditional villages on the other hand…

Longer holiday would give you more chance to travel inland of the country and experience more.

If you only have couple of days, then you can visit Istanbul (5th biggest city of the world) and see this unique city located on both continents as Europe and Asia. If you can add couple of more days, why not seeing more as Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Troy so on..

Our company offers 16 days long itineraries as well as 2 days trips, visiting 10 different destinations. Whichever sounds good to you, we are more than glad to serve you.

Days can never be too many for Turkey, there will always be more to discover and see!

Istanbul is one of the world’s largest cities and welcomes nearly 15 milion visitors from all around the world every year.

There are 2 international airports in Istanbul as Istanbul Airport (IST) located on the European side and Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) located on the Asian side of the city.

Airport on European side which is recently opened is bigger and receives more international and domestic flights. The distance to old city center is about 1 hour* considering the crowd of European side traffic.

Sabiha Gokcen Airport is a bit smaller, still hosts international and domestic flights. It also takes about an hour* to come to old city center.

Both airports are good, safe and easy to reach. Many taxis and shuttles are operating, available in front of the airports.

Whichever you plan to fly into or out of, no need to worry. 🙂

Our company have 24 hours, 7 days pick up and drop off service.
